At Yoga with Sarah we take your privacy very seriously. We’re committed to protecting personal information that you’ve shared with us when visiting our site or communicating electronically with us or attending one of our events.


As controllers and processors of data, we understand the trust placed in us when sharing data, and we will always do our utmost to respect that trust and protect personal information. 

Our full privacy policy is explained below, but here are some points to note: 

  • We will only ever ask for information that we really need.

  • We will put appropriate security measures in place to protect the personal data that you share.

  • We will never sell your data.

  • You have the right to amend or withdraw your consent about the ways in which we hold and use your personal data  at any time. 

Information we collect and how it is used

In running and operating our business we may collect and process certain data and information relating to you. This data and information is detailed below:

  • Anonymous data about details of visits to our website and the pages and resources that are accessed, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data and other communication data that may assist us in understanding how visitors use this website.

  • Information provided to us when you join our mailing list – name and email address – populated by people registering on this website, or opting in on a sign-up form at classes/events.  We use Mailchimp to store email contact lists and to send e-newsletters. Their privacy policy is here.

  • Information provided to us when making bookings for classes. Online bookings are handled through NearYou ®. Their privacy policy can be viewed here. 

  • Attendance registers – data collected in class – used for class management, and held for at least seven years for insurance purposes.

  • Emails – sent from clients and non-clients.  Important messages are saved in our email filing system, otherwise emails are retained for only 12 months.

  • Website cookies set automatically by this website software.  We do not knowingly access these or pass to third parties.

  • Except where required by law, we do not share data with third parties or sell contact lists.

  • Information held by Yoga with Sarah is accessed only by staff working for Yoga with Sarah, contractors working on Yoga with Sarah’s IT systems, and occasionally, on a need to know basis, with other teachers covering our classes.

We keep your personal information only for as long as required for the purposes for which it’s supplied. Where your information is no longer required, we will make sure it is disposed of in a safe and secure manner.


As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer to improve your experience. It is recommended that you leave cookies on.
